Meet Damon

My wife, family, and I have been proud to call Leander, TX home for just a little over 4 years now. My work has brought us all over the country, but we couldn't be happier to have finally landed in such a great city.

I have worked in the security industry for the last 20 years, in the retail sector with numerous different organizations, and also spent several years in law enforcement as a police officer in Wisconsin, where my wife and I are from.

As a family, we enjoy spending time outdoors hiking and visiting local parks. Our children are very involved with school and extracurricular activities, ranging from Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and a variety of sports. We are also very involved in our local church, serving in various leadership positions and groups.

I made the decision to run for mayor because Leander is a great city, full of wonderful people, local businesses, and activities, and I believe that I can have an impact on making it even better. I believe it is a pivotal time in Leander's history with issues such as water accessibility and restrictions, growth and development of both commercial and residential housing, and public safety. With a City Council aligned with the priorities of the citizens, I believe Leander can continue to grow and be a thriving community that will attract businesses and new residents.
